What is human-centered design?
There are many, ever evolving answers to this question; I believe that human-centered design is a creative problem solving approach.
Why is it an effective approach?
When done well, human-centered design puts the stakeholders and people most affected by an issue at the center of the process. In addition to synthesizing insights from a community, I believe human-centered designers have a responsibility to collaborate directly with people and communities. Designing with, instead of for; this approach is also often called co-design or participatory design.
