Human-Centered Design Process

What is human-centered design?

There are many, ever evolving answers to this question; I believe that human-centered design is a creative problem solving approach.

Why is it an effective approach?

When done well, human-centered design puts the stakeholders and people most affected by an issue at the center of the process. In addition to synthesizing insights from a community, I believe human-centered designers have a responsibility to collaborate directly with people and communities. Designing with, instead of for; this approach is also often called co-design or participatory design.

What could the human-centered design process look like?
